Blue Tooth Umbrella?

•July 18, 2008 • 1 Comment

Everyone hates to answer the phone when walking in the rain while holding the umbrella, especially when you have to carry something else.  However, Mikhail Stawsky has changed that.  MS has brought us a new product, an umbrella that can answer your phone calls, the blue tooth umbrella.

The trick is within the handle.  It has a LCD touch screen display, and a speaker.  After we sync the blue tooth to our phones, the incoming caller’s name or number will be displayed.  We can also decide to take or ignore the calls.

After the call is connected, the speaker on the handle will replace the earpiece.  Even though it’s easier to use in the raining days, but it loses the privacy of the conversation in public places.  If you are bored while waiting for the train or the bus, it can also be a radio.  It receives FM frequencies so you can keep up with your favorite radio station.

Apple’s 3G iPhone Is Coming, Can Be Bought For Only $199

•June 10, 2008 • Leave a Comment

The 3G iPhone with 16GB storage will be sold for $299 each, 8GB ones will be lowered to $199 each. WOW!

Steve Jobs says that the 3G iPhone is similar to the other 2 3G phones, the Nokia N95 and Treo 750. For the same attachment on an email, the download time with the 3G iPhone is 5 seconds, but it’s gonna take the previous iPhone, which supports EDGE network, 18 seconds. The standby time for the new iPhone is 300 hours, talk time has increased to 10 hours from the previous 8 hours, 5 hours under the 3G network, 5-6 hours of internet time, video play time is 7 hours, audio play time is 24 hours.

Using the official site of National Geograpic, Steve Jobs compares the speed between 3G and EDGE networks. 21 seconds for the new 3G iPhone, 59 seconds for iPhone using EDGE. Jobs says that the 3G network speed is almost the same as Wi-Fi.

Since iPhone is already in different areas of the world, English is not the only input language for it. With the new 3G iPhone, it even includes Chinese input despite that Mainland China is NOT one of the market. Looks like Apple really wants a slice of that pie.

With the new GPS chips, the 3G iPhone also provides GPS locating services.

Jobs also says that the 3G iPhone will be released into the market in 22 countries and areas on July 11th, including The US, UK, Australia, India and Hong Kong (Mainland China is not included).

Jobs also says that since June 2007, there are 6 million sets of Iphone sold around the world. Analysts believe that with the release of new 3G iPhone and the price drop of the previous models, there is no problem that the number will hit 10 million by the end of year.

In the video, the student says, “FK!  Motherfkr!  Motherfkr!  take out the phone.  Don’t go anywhere, slow down, slow down.  We are on the 6th floor, it’s ok.  Get on the internet!  MOFO!  Where the hell did the earthquake come from?!  It’s the year 2008, May 12th, 2:29PM!  We are in ChengDu.  SiChuan University, we have just experienced an earthquake.  Our building is still shaking!  This is for real, absolutely for real…”

After the quake, a large area in ChengDu didn’t have cellphone signals, land lines had been effected as well.  Underground water pipes had been ripped open.

Foxconn To Make 24 Million Sets of iPhone??

•May 5, 2008 • Leave a Comment

There’s a rumor floating around the internet and that is that Foxconn from Taiwan has received the order of 24 Million 3G iPhones.

If it’s true, Foxconn will officially release 3G iPhone in June during the Worldwide Developers Conference 2008, then provides 3 million sets of 3G iPhone.  Furthurmore Foxconn is to provide Apple with 24 to 25 million sets of 3G iPhone.

However, this news has NOT been confirmed by either Apple or Foxconn.  Seems like all the rumors, news about 3G iPhone will be the X.
