iCosta Allows Users To Input Chinese on iPhone
For iPhone users in China, even after the phones are cracked, they have to use a 3rd party software to input Chinese text messages. Even with this software, users can only input Chinese in text messages, but not able to write Chinese in notes or memos. With the new iCosta, that has been changed.
iCosta is a freeware, which can be downloaded and used freely, as long as the users do not change its base codes, use it for financial gain or use it to promote other products. So far it supports firmware 1.0.2 and language code GB18030, can ONLY use PinYin to input Chinese.
Shortly after its release, all the Ai-Fengs (爱疯, nickname for the iPhone fanatics in China, very suitable for them because the pronounciation if very close to “iPhone”) are downloading, writing messages, broadcasting this news all over the web. Just type “iCosta” in Google search engine and see what turns up, you won’t be surprised how many pages there are just to teach users how to use this software.
With iCosta’s release, Chinese iPhone users can finally and truly input Chinese into iPhones, still…illegally because those iPhones are still cracked iPhones.
